Cayman Islands Beaches

The World's Most Beautiful Beaches - Caribbean Beaches

The Cayman Islands are located in the western Caribbean. The three islands of Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman are a little under 500 miles south of Miami and about 170 miles northwest of Jamaica. Their total land area is approximately 100 square miles and approximately 100 miles of beautiful beaches within the islands. The islands are formed from the limestone outcroppings and coral reefs surround each island. With the combination of deep dropoffs and coral reefs, the islands form a great place for diving and fishing. If you are into watching birds, the islands provide a wealth of unique environments for bird watching. On the islands, there are also plenty of caves and nature trails. Tourism is a major part of the economy.

The Cayman Islands were colonized by the British. Today the Cayman Islands are a British dependency.

The Cayman Islands Department of Tourism offers a lot of information on the Cayman Islands.
