European Beaches

North Sea - Baltic Sea

Denmark is a country in north Europe which is to the north of Germany and has shores on the North Sea, the Baltic Sea, and the Kattegat and Skagerrak straits. Across the Kattegat strait from Denmark is Sweden and across the Skagerrak strait are Norway and Sweden.

There are hundreds of islands in Denmark. Three islands in the Baltic Sea include Bornholm, Ertholmene, and Sjaelland.

The Faroe Islands are an automonous territory. They are in the North Atlantic and west of Norway.

Greenland is also an autonomous territory of Denmark and is in the North Atlantic.
