The Aegean Sea is part of the Mediterranean Sea. The Aegean Sea is from the south of Greece to the island of Crete to Turkey in Asia Minor. The Sea of Crete is to the south of the Aegean Sea. Heading northeast through the Dardenelles Strait will lead to the Sea of Marmara which then leads to the Bosporus Strait which opens into the Black Sea.
