Texas has hundreds of miles of coastline along the Gulf of Mexico.

There are numerous beaches in Texas, from Galveston along the northern end to Padre Island in the south. East Beach is close to Galveston. Padre Island (part of the Padre Island National Seashore) is different from South Padre Island, which is highly developed. Port Aransas, another popular Texas beach, is south of Corpus Christi and located on Mustang Island.
